This is a very popular option, especially for businesses who want to have a clear budget for their legal needs.


Quoted Fees 

Uncontested Divorce

Includes all court paperwork and work to obtain a Divorce Judgment, submitting application to the court and obtaining Certificate of Divorce upon expiration of appeal period – $1,600.00 plus GST plus disbursments.  There is a $260 filing fee with the Court, sometimes other minor filing fees, and the cost of a process server in most instances.  Where there is additional work or advice required, fee may increase, but we will communicate that to you in advance. This quoted fee does not include any negotiation before or after or any substantive change to the document once drafted. That will be billed on an hourly basis.

Agreements
Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Post-Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, Separation Agreements, Divorce & Property Agreements and Minutes of Settlement agreements. No negotiation by the lawyer – $2,100.00. Where there is additional work or advice required, fee may increase, but we will communicate that to you in advance.  This quoted fee does not include any negotiation before or after or any substantive change to the document once drafted.  That will be billed on an hourly basis.

Independent Legal Advice
Where the other lawyer has drafted an agreement and you require a lawyer to independently review and then provide you with independent legal advice regarding the content of the agreement and then to properly execute the agreement and the appropriate certificate of independent legal advice; includes personal guarantees requiring ILA – $750.00
For pre-nuptial agreement Independent Legal Advice, our flat rate is $1000.00, given the level of complexity and risk associated.
This quoted fee does not include any negotiation before or after or any substantive change to the document once drafted. That will be billed on an hourly basis.

OTHER FIXED FEE OPTIONS

Residential Real Estate
Real Estate sale - $900.00 plus disbursements
Real Estate purchase - $1250.00 plus disbursements
Refinance - $900.00 plus disbursements plus $50 for each debt payout involved
Purchase Contract - $450.00
Anything unusual or outside of the usual scope for a residential real estate conveyance will be charged at our usual hourly rates. Examples include, but are not limited to, accommodating signing out of town or online, signing with clients separately, dealing with Real Property Report or compliance issues, dealing with holdbacks, etc.

Commercial Real Estate
Please consult with our lawyers for a quote on your purchase or sale or mortgage transaction, as every deal is very unique.

Personal Injury Law / Motor Vehicle Accidents
33.3% of the net settlement or judgment up to six months before trial
38.5% of the net settlement or judgment after six months before trial

Personal Injury Fatal Accident Claims:
30.0% of the net settlement or judgment up to six months before trial
38.5% of the net settlement or judgment after six months before trial

The above personal injury rates are usual rates. Each case is evaluated and the Firm may charge a higher or lower rate at its discretion.

Estate Planning
Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Personal Directive - single person - $600.00
Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Personal Directive - couple - $900.00
Will only - single - $400.00 couple - $600.00
Enduring Power of Attorney only - single - $400.00 - couple - $600.00
Personal Directive only - single - $400.00 - couple - $600.00
Simple Codicil to will or any other estate planning document - $350.00 
Specific Power of Attorney (e.g. for the sale of a home) - $400.00
General Power of Attorney - $400.00
These quoted fees do not include any work outside of the scope of meeting with the client to get instructions, to draft basic documents, and to execute those documents.  Any work outside of this scope is charged on an hourly basis.  Complex instructions or providing advice is charged on an hourly basis at our discretion.

Probate and Estate Administration
$2250.00 plus 0.5 of a percent of the estate if the estate is under $150,000 or plus 1 percent of the estate if the estate is over $150,000. 
These quoted fees do not include any work outside of the scope of meeting with the client to get instructions, to draft basic documents, to execute and properly serve those documents and to complete the court application. Any work outside of this scope is charged on an hourly basis. Complex instructions or providing advice is charged on an hourly basis at our discretion.

Corporate / Partnership
Incorporation (includes set up, upfront legal advice, minute book) - $1100.00 plus GST plus disbursements (which include the registry filing fee).  Minute book and corporate seal are extra.  Where there is additional work or advice required, fee may increase.
Professional Corporation (includes set up, upfront legal advice, minute book) - $1400.00 plus GST plus disbursements (which include the registry filing fee). Minute book and corporate seal are extra. Where there is additional work or advice required, fee may increase.
Corporate searches - $50.00 plus the fee from corporate registry
Annual Return & Preparation of Resolutions - $400.00 plus the fee from corporate registry
Dividend Resolutions - $400.00 plus the fee from corporate registry
Unanimous Shareholder Agreement - starting at $1500.00
Partnership Agreement - starting at $1500.00
Joint Venture Agreement - starting at $1500.00

These quoted fees do not include any work outside of the scope of meeting with the client to get instructions, to draft basic documents, and to execute those documents. Any work outside of this scope is charged on an hourly basis. Complex instructions or providing advice is charged on an hourly basis at our discretion.

Notarize or Commission document - $75.00 where the documents are already prepared.  If we prepare the documents, we charge on an hourly basis.

Collections
To prepare a demand letter for a debt collection - $300.00

In some cases, an email to one of our lawyers will allow us to provide a fixed-fee quote. In other cases, a consultation may be required where the matter is more complex before we can provide a formal fixed-fee quote.

All Quoted Fee Services must be paid for in advance of service being provided. We do accept Visa, MasterCard and Debit Card transactions, e-transfers, in addition to cash or cheques.  Fixed fees do not include GST.
