Mediation
Collaborative Resolution Focused on Practical Outcomes
Not all disputes need a winner and a loser. In many cases, mediation allows parties to resolve disagreements more quickly, more affordably, and with greater control than court.
At LETOURNEAU LLP, we provide professional mediation services designed to help people move forward with workable, lasting solutions.
When Mediation Is Effective
Mediation is often the right choice when:
- parties want to maintain an ongoing relationship
- emotions or communication breakdown are part of the dispute
- flexibility and creativity are important
- cost and time are key concerns
- parties want control over the outcome
Mediation can be used on its own or alongside ongoing legal proceedings.
What Is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a neutral mediator assists the parties in:
- identifying issues
- improving communication
- exploring options
- reaching a mutually acceptable agreement
The mediator does not impose a decision. The outcome is shaped by the parties themselves.
Types of Disputes We Mediate
Our mediators assist with a wide range of disputes, including:
- family law and parenting disputes
- mediation / arbitration of disputes (only Adam Letourneau, K.C. can complete these)

Mediation is particularly effective where relationships, dignity, and long-term cooperation matter.
